This Tutorial is out-of-date. It may still be valuable to some, however a new one is in the works



    Wow, after all that, this is the tutorial created from [link] and [link]

    Basically it outlines how I work with Photoshop CS2 and a Graphics Tablet.

    Unfortunately the file is also HUGE. It is also in .pdf format, so you will need a .pdf reading application such as Adobe Acrobat which you can get from Adobe's website

    I hope that this is of some use to somebody out there, and please excuse all the drivel :no: Raspberry Lemonade makes me do stupid things, like for instance, writing a tutorial.

    Usual hoohar, Don't re-distribute, copy, steal etc.

    Yeah, umm, if you manage to a) survive the download b) survive the reading and c) manage to gain something from it, I congratulate you, because I don't ever want to see it again :D

Thankyou, it can easily be applied to almost any subject, horses just happen to be a favourite of mine. :)

That massive file was no match for my computer (6 years old as it may be)! =D I loved how I could clearly tell what you did with each step (I wish you had added a couple more screenshots when detailing the face). I'm amazed that you never once used the smudge.

I have acrobat, but the file is too huge and always seems to disappear when I try to download it?

I had to cut a lot of the images out because the file size was about twice what it is now :O_o:

Was there anything in particular you wanted to see of the face? I do still have the screenshots somewhere.

Could easily be one of several problems.

1) Your net connection is too slow. If this is the case, I'm making an online version soon.

2) You're computer doesn't have enough memory to download it and make it viewable. If this is the case, try saving it (save target as/save link as), rather than downloading and opening it directly.

3) DeviantArt's servers are overloaded. Which means you have to wait and re-try.

Other than that, I couldn't compress it any more unless I split it in two.

Maybe some shots where you can see the brushstrokes. I've always had trouble shading on the face.
